celebrate the imperfections.

contemplations and life observations, silly life observations / Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015

Here’s a personal journal entry I wrote to myself back in March…

Felt like it needed to be shared. I’m finding in my 30s that too many people have the same struggles I do, but no one talks about it for fear of ridicule, shame or judgement.

Here’s to all those people who think they have it all figured out – news flash – we’re all human, therefore, we’re all flawed.

Celebrate the imperfections.

“The Dos and Don’ts of Today”

DO

not get so paralyzed by the “if this, then that” scenarios.

DON’T

get so overwhelmed by decisions that don’t need to be made right now.

DON’T

feel pressure to abandon ship just this second, the minute it starts to get uncomfortable. It truly is “day by day”.

DO

what you can to get your anxiety under control – do not rely on others to rescue you every time you fall down the rabbit hole.

DO

NOT LET THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN ROB YOU OF

THIS

 DAY.

DO

not let your self-doubt control your present thoughts. You WILL figure this out. The universe has already figured it out – it’s your job to listen.

DO

not force nothing – the right opportunity will eventually present itself – it always has!

DO

have faith – do not overwhelm yourself with a mile long to-do list.

DO

not let your present circumstance dictate your future. YOU WILL FIGURE THIS OUT.

DON’T

let your impatience cloud your judgement.

And whatever you do,

DO

embrace the day daily, and be present. The future will hold what it will – it’s your job to let it be.

If you like, please share!
