There is an email-based newsletter that I like to follow (thanks to a fellow psycho-analyzer) – and, like the daily horoscope that I love to read at the local Starbucks, it conjures up untapped neurosci (it’s a word) that I had subconsciously avoided this weekend.
And when I read what is below, it’s like a portrait into my soul (sorry for the dramatics, but sometimes, it makes me laugh when the irony of my subconscious issues manifests itself into my inbox).
Welcome to the inside of my head. (with my subtle commentary in blue)

Unconcerned by Judgment – Aquarius Daily Horoscope
http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2/2013/40392.html
Your social activities may be permeated by an air of awkwardness today. You may find that you are self-conscious when speaking to others or when addressing a group of people. If you are ill at ease in the company of loved ones or peers, consider taking some time out of your day to mull over your anxiety. It may be that you are worried that others will judge your lifestyle or professional choices harshly. Before you can regain your usual self-assurance, you will likely need to acknowledge that the judgments others make will often have little or no impact on your life as a whole. (even those closest to us who will/are most likely judging us, should not make us feel bad about ourselves…if they do, please refer to this pearl of wisdom). The more comfortable you are being yourself today, the more confidently you will likely behave.
We tend to feel more comfortable interacting with others when we have chosen to accept that while the people we encounter will likely pass judgment upon us, we need not concern ourselves with outside interpretations of our lives and choices. Any self-consciousness or awkwardness we might otherwise feel while communicating is diminished by our understanding of human nature. We know that the individuals we spend time with will invariably attempt to catalog us based on a limited range of impressions, yet we also know that their judgments do not change who we are inside. When we are happy with ourselves and the choices we have made, no amount of criticism can divide us from our confidence and poise. The social discomfort you experience today will fade as you learn to accept that your lifestyle will please some people, but not all people.
And with that, the ying and yang of existence continues…

Contemplations is a category where I ridiculously analyze all things life. The views are mine and mine alone. They are unsolicited, unedited and understandably vague. Enjoy!
